Advanced Human-Performance Research Meets Indie Gaming
Early development was supported through a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) award to Warfighter Consulting, PLLC - a human-performance R&D firm. As the system matured beyond a research prototype, MR Interactive was established to continue development as a dedicated studio—allowing the platform to evolve into a polished, standalone experiences with broader applications.
MR Interactive grew out of a U.S. Space Force and DARPA funded research efforts focused on preparing operators for complex, rapidly changing environments. That work emphasized cognitive agility—the ability to adapt strategies, maintain control, and perform effectively as conditions evolve.
While originally developed to meet the demands of space operations, some underlying cognitive challenges are universal. The same abilities that support high-stakes operational performance—adaptation, planning, attention, and control—are essential for everyday life, learning, and long-term cognitive health.
